I have some exciting news to share with you all:
Miranda’s Muses has officially received a Liebster Award! Exciting stuff!
A big thank you to Hannah of The Adventure Galley for nominating me! Join Hannah, a UK based flight-attendant-turned blogger as she spills the secrets about the many destinations she’s visited so far. Hannah gave me the following questions to answer, so read along and stick around until the end to find out the 5 bloggers that I’ve nominated. 🙂
Where are you from?
I am from The Fraser Valley, just next to the city of Vancouver in Canada. Consequently, I’m a lover of the mountains and the sea, but currently, I’m absolutely smitten with my new home here in Brisbane, Australia.
I love writing about my life as an expat here as I settle down with my wonderful Aussie husband and face all of the ups and downs that immigrating to a new country holds.
What did you want to be when you were a child?
A writer, oddly enough! I was more set on becoming a novelist (something I would still like to achieve someday) but as soon as I realized people wrote about their travels and made a living that way, I knew that it was what I needed to be doing. Two of my biggest passions rolled into one, what more could you ask for?
What is your favourite book?
I’m always a little embarassed when I’m asked this question, since I have a bit of a juvenielle/cheesy taste in books! I’m a lover of the Young Adult genre, and I have a feeling that won’t change even as I age.
My current favourite is Fangirl, by Rainbow Rowell. I’ve reread this book more times than I can count and I can’t really put my finger on why I enjoy it so much! It’s a great coming-of-age novel that perfectly captures the many changes that can happen within a single year.
What is your favourite food?
Hmm, my favourite snack is some lime-flavoured tortilla chips with a smashed avocado. Kinda random, but a super delicious combo.
If money was no object, where would your ultimate trip be to?
A huge, month or two long trip throughout Europe with my husband.
The majority of my bucket-list destinations are in Europe, so it’s a shock I haven’t made it over there yet! I would love to take a good chunk of time to slowly travel through and make sure I hit everything up. There’s so much beauty and history there, and I love how you can take a quick day trip over to the neighbouring countries and experience a whole new culture, just like that.
My Nominations Go To . . .

Meg’s World Treasures is a truly unique travel blog that not only documents her travels, but the real life-stories of people she’s had the pleasure of encountering from around the world.
